It’s been a busy couple of weeks on Blue Heeler since we’ve packed in our jobs. Wayne’s focused on the complex electrical work, while I’ve been busy renovating the woodwork in the cockpit, sorting out logistics and generally keeping Wayne on his toes (aka driving him nuts!). Those who know me would be pleased to learn that I have categorised all our storage boxes and have spreadsheets for every stage of this trip!

Blue Heeler now has a new wind generator, AIS (Automatic Identification System), TV antenna (so we can watch our favourite shows!), new VHF radio and new rigging. After 13 years of sailing around the world it was a good idea to get the old rigging replaced.

With only a couple more weeks left in the rental, we’ve still got to get the boat anti-fouled and I’ve got to make a new bimini. We’ve been too busy to go sailing but we’re in no rush as we reckon we’ll have heaps of time very soon!
